Founded by Ronald F. Boston in 1981, Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Austin was originally a chef-apprenticeship program. Formerly known as the Le Chef College of Hospitality Careers, the school changed its name to Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Austin in 1999. In addition to providing hands-on training for the culinary arts, Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Austin is also partnered with the world-renowned Le Cordon Blue Culinary Program.
While the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Austin is relatively new, the tradition behind the Le Cordon Bleu method is not. First founded in Paris in 1895, the roots of the Le Cordon Bleu tradition trace back to the 1500's. Today, this internationally respected culinary-arts curriculum is alive and well, and is still known for providing students with innovative culinary arts training backed with centuries of expertise and tradition.
