About City College
Originally founded as the Institute of Specialized Training and Management, Inc., City College is a not-for-profit organization established in 1988. The school started as a vocational institution but became a college in 1996.
It is now considered a junior college with a mission to “educate and train students in their chosen major for employment in specific career fields.” The school focuses on the individual’s responsibility to become a contributing citizen.
Accreditation
The school has been accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools and is able to offer Diplomas, Associate of Science, and Bachelor of Science degrees. It is also licensed by the Commission for Independent Education, divisions of Non-public Career Education and Independent Colleges and Universities for the same.
Financial Aid
Students interested in financial aid resources to attend City College can talk to their Admissions Representative who will set up an appointment with a Financial Aid Officer. They will be asked to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to determine their eligibility for the various types of grants and loans. Work-study positions may also be available. Students who have already completed on academic year may be eligible to apply to the Richard W. Skidmore Scholarship Fund.

Facilities
City College Orlando is part of a network of schools that include campuses in Fort Lauderdale, Gainesville, and Miami. The Library/Media Resource Center offers materials in print and electronic formats, and students can access it via the Internet. The school also offers tutoring, clubs, counseling, workshops, volunteer opportunities, and on-campus events.

Casselberry, Florida is part of the Orlando metropolitan area. The magic began for Orlando when Walt Disney decided to locate Disney World there in the mid 1960s. He was considering Tampa and Miami but selected Orlando because it is inland and not as vulnerable to hurricanes.

For those that enjoy nature, you can go to the zoo and check out the butterfly garden and herpetarium. You can see manatees at Blue Springs State Park. Orlando is also about halfway between the Atlantic and Gulf Coast beaches.
