The City of Cincinnati, Ohio
Cincinnati is a vibrant Midwestern City, and a wonderful place to live and go to school. The Cincinnati metropolitan area has over 2 million people in it with all the cultural, shopping and living benefits of a large city. Cincinnati is the 6th safest region in the country, too.
Sports take the front seat among Cincinnati events. Citizens love their professional baseball (the Reds) and football (the Bengals) teams. That’s not where professional sports ends in Cincinnati, though. You can also support the Cincinnati Master’s Tennis Tournament, the Kings (professional soccer) and the Cyclones (professional hockey).
There are a lot of people with German heritage in Cincinnati, and so the city has the 2nd largest Oktoberfest in the world (the biggest festival is, of course, in Germany). The Over-the-Rhine neighborhood is the largest Historical District in the United States, and has many beautiful homes that feature the 19th century Italian architecture that was popular among affluent German immigrants.
