About the Lincoln Tech's Center for Culinary Arts

As an entire educational institution, the Lincoln Technical Institute has been around for over 60 years. In its earliest years, it was intended to serve as a way for WWII veterans to gain access to skilled careers. This kind of focus on technical skills and qualification for employment has carried over through the years.

Columbia, Maryland Culinary Arts StudentToday, the school provides students with the skills and training they need to compete in high-tech and cutting edge careers all around the nation. In addition to the culinary arts, Lincoln Tech offers programs and degrees in a variety of fields, including health services, automotive, skilled trades, and information technology.

Although the Culinary Arts program is only available in Connecticut, Florida, and Maryland, the school itself branches across 17 states and a total of 37 different campuses.

Culinary Arts - Diploma

The Center for Culinary Arts offers accredited training in general culinary arts. Available as a diploma program, the course listing includes classes in a number of different international techniques and flavors, including French, Asian, Mediterranean, Latin, and traditional American cooking.

Classes in the Culinary Arts - Diploma program are rounded off with general restaurant management and professional baking skills. Culinary theory is taught alongside practical skills applications, so that graduates are better prepared to enter into entry-level positions at top restaurants around the nation, and in a variety of other culinary settings.

Lincoln Technical Institute's Center for Culinary Arts is not a traditional college with only one or two enrollment periods per year. Facilities

Located at 9325 Snowden River Parkway, The Center of Culinary Arts is a self-contained training location. The culinary “laboratories” all have modern industry equipment and tools designed to replicate the real kitchens of the same restaurants the graduates will find themselves a part of. There are both brigade-style kitchens and island-style kitchens, with various classes taking part in the one most suited for the curriculum.
