About the Orlando Culinary Academy
The Orlando Culinary Academy opened its doors in 2002 with the full support of the Le Cordon Bleu name. It has taken virtually no time at all for the school to gain a great local reputation and attract students from all over the country.
Le Cordon Bleu itself has been around since 1895, when it first opened in Paris. It has become synonymous with quality academic and culinary standards, and can be found in locations all over the globe. Most United States-based Le Cordon Bleu establishments fuse the classic training with a distinctly American style.
The school offers three Le Cordon Bleu Associate of Applied Science Degree programs: Culinary Arts, Hospitality and Restaurant Management, and Pâtisserie and Baking. All programs include coursework in leadership, ethics, international culture, culinary history, and cooking science. They are a total of 15 months long. One year is spent in hands-on training facilities and kitchens, and the last three months are spent in a required externship.
