Founded in 1933, Hickey College specializes in short-term, career-focused programs in a variety of areas, including culinary arts, design & technology, health are, and business. Offering diploma, associate degree, and bachelor degree programs, Hickey College gives culinary students the option of pursuing an AAS in Culinary Arts degree program.

Culinary Arts - Associate of Applied Science

Available at Culinary Institute of St. Louis at Hickey College as an Associate of Applied Science degree program, the Culinary Arts curriculum focuses on everything from basic knife skills to the tasteful presentation of culinary masterpieces. A 20-month program, the AAS in Culinary Arts curriculum also centers around instruction from faculty who are passionate about the culinary arts.

Graduates of the AAS in Culinary Arts degree program from Culinary Institute of St. Louis at Hickey College will know proper cooking techniques for meat, fowl, vegetables, and fish, be able to create a complete personalized menu, combine taste, texture and color, and be familiar with a variety of world cuisines. In addition, students will complete an externship that will provide graduates with hands-on, real-life experience in the culinary field.

Committed to providing students with a variety of options in order to pay for their education, Hickey College students have access to annual scholarships, federal loans, and federal grants. Financial Aid is available to those who qualify.
