About the Hotel and Restaurant Management AAS Program
The Hotel and Restaurant Management AAS program trains students to work in entry-level and management leadership roles in hospitality businesses around the country. Because it is an Associate of Applied Science degree, students are expected to take general education classes in addition to hospitality-specific training.
Classes include inventory control, food safety, nutrition, management, conference services, hospitality law, human resources, and marketing. The course is rounded off with an externship program that gets students out the door and into a real-world working situation. It is not uncommon for these externships to lead to post-graduation careers in front desk management, restaurant and catering management, and resort-hotel work.
Accreditation
This location is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology, and is authorized to grant Associate and Bachelor Degrees for the appropriate programs. Westwood College also received candidacy for the Higher Learning Commission in 2007.

Facilities
