Opened in 1999, the Minneapolis/St. Paul campus of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Minneapolis/St. Paul is dedicated to providing career based educational program to students that foster opportunities for success. Opened with the goal of providing a renowned culinary education to prospective students in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area, LCB - Minneapolis/St. Paul is known for its hands-on and focused educational approach to the culinary arts, both modern and classical.
While the Minneapolis/St. Paul campus of Le Cordon Bleu is relatively new, the tradition behind it is not. First founded in Paris in 1895, the roots of the Le Cordon Bleu tradition trace back to the 1500's. Today, this internationally respected culinary-arts curriculum is alive and well, and is still known for providing students with innovative culinary arts training backed with centuries of expertise and tradition.
Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts - Certificate
Also available at LCB - Minneapolis/St. Paul as a Certificate program, this version of the culinary arts curriculum is designed to equip graduates with the skills needed in order to enter the culinary arts industry in a variety of entry-level positions. In addition to learning the theoretical and technical skills needed in order to become a member of a culinary team, this program also combines classical French techniques.
Combined with American technology, this program serves as a great example of the Le Cordon Bleu methodology; combining classical and contemporary techniques into a unique approach to the culinary arts. A 15-month course of study, the diploma in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts also includes a 3 month off-campus externship, which gives students the opportunity to gain real-life experience while still in school.
Facilities
Located in nearby Mendota Heights at 1440 Northland Drive, the facilities at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Minneapolis/St. Paul are large and state-of-the-art. In addition to cooking and baking classrooms, the 18,000 square foot campus features lecture classrooms, demonstration kitchens, student workstations, and an extensive library. In addition, the Career Services department is prepared to lend support and graduation to all alumni.

This strategic location allowed the city to develop a thriving industry of timber processing and also became the home for many flour-milling operations including Pillsbury and general Mills. Minneapolis has evolved to become the primary center for business between Chicago and Seattle.
