Associate of Applied Science degree in Culinary Arts: To earn a culinary arts degree takes two academic years or 7 quarters. During this time you will be taking courses like Introduction to Culinary Skills, Food Production, Kitchen Supervision, Nutrition, Garde Manager, Baking & Pastry, Menu Management, Wine Management and a whole lot more. Once you graduate, you will be prepared for an entry-level position as a garde manager cook, station chef or baking and pastry cook.

Diploma & Associate of Science degree programs in Baking & Pastry: If you want to learn how to make assorted desserts to custards to cakes in Twin Cities, The International Culinary School at The Art Institutes International Minnesota Baking & Pastry programs are what you want to look at. Here, you will be trained by professional bakers the techniques to create pastries, frozen desserts, meringues, chocolate as well as artisan bread.

The program will focus on these key areas: professionalism, communication, problem solving and critical thinking, management and finance, and context. At the end of the program, students create a career portfolio.

Diploma in The Art of Cooking: This 12 Quarter program trains you in the basics of culinary art. Here you will learn speed, coordination and most importantly, teamwork. You should be ready to enter the market and find an entry level position as a banquet cook, breakfast cook, shift leader or line cook.
